The youngest of the sisters, Deborah grew up in the segregated Jim Crow South of the 1960s in Birmingham, Alabama. She enjoys reading, watching movies and documentaries, and crafting. Overcoming many obstacles, Deborah became an educator and continues to fight for human and civil rights for all.

Affectionately known as “Dot” by her family and friends, Dorothy was a native of Birmingham, Alabama, who later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She was deeply involved in the 1963 Civil Rights Movement in Birmingham and continued her fight for justice until her passing in 2023. Loved by all who knew her, Dot’s contagious laugh is a cherished memory for everyone.

An advocate for freedom, justice, and equality, Gwendolyn is also a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She travels nationwide—to places such as New York and Boston—to share her experiences from the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. Compassionate and loving, Gwen enjoys spending time with family and friends.

The eldest of the four sisters, Elizabeth is a retired entrepreneur, philanthropist, and women’s advocate currently residing in Bremerton, Washington. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she enjoys singing, dancing for exercise, and traveling to exotic places with family and friends.
